The first BlackBerry on the Android platform required differentiated hardware to the plethora of all touch devices on the market.

A 5.4” curved display transforms to showcase a touch enabled physical keyboard engineered within a slim package.

The uni-body display & slide assembly is cast in aluminum and co-molded. The glass fiber composite rear housing is ultra thin yet provides a strong structure.

A collection of hard and soft carry cases, audio and power accessories were launched for this device.

Defined and delivered at BlackBerry while serving as Managing Director, Global Head of Industrial Design.
