Alison Phillips is a Consultant, Advisor, and Designer recognized for advancing and integrating design with purpose and innovation, from strategy through execution to drive results. 

After leading creative and business teams for over 20 years, she established her Toronto based studio in 2016 with the goal of bringing the power of the design to organizations, helping to solve complex business problems, and enable innovation. The studio helps clients across sectors and size to uncover growth opportunities and has the know how to bring them to life.

About Alison

Established in 2016, her Toronto based studio specializes in Industrial Design, UX/UI Design, Brand Identity, Spatial Design, Merchandising and Strategy. Alison takes an insights-led, user centered approach to uncover opportunities, and drives innovation through an iterative design process. 

Throughout her career, Alison has built and led multi-disciplinary design and business teams.  In 2010, she joined BlackBerry, serving as Managing Director & Global Head of Industrial Design through late 2015, where she was responsible for the design of all devices and accessories. Previously, she was the Head of Merchandising for fashion retailer Aritzia during a period of rapid expansion and a strategic US launch. As its founding member, Alison was instrumental in shaping the modern lifestyle brand Caban, Club Monaco’s then innovative home department store chain, which was acquired by Polo Ralph Lauren, NYC.

Phillips holds over 100 patents. Her work has been featured in many publications, and has been recognized globally with a Clio, Good Design, 4 iF Design, and 6 Red Dot Awards, including in 2015 "The Best of the Best" Award.  She holds a Bachelor of Industrial Design from Carleton University.
